taking baby steps to becoming a domestic diva
i've been sayin ever since the prospect of getting married (ok some two months ago) became even remotely possible that i was going to learn to cook from my mum. well today i actually did. there's a sri lankan malay dish called pittu (pit-too) that the hubby can't get enough of, and therefore naturally was first on the list of dishes to master. its basically a mixture of rice, coconut and flour that is steamed in a somewhat err phalic shaped device. it is not that hard to make but does take a month of sundays. the effort is definitely worth it though cos the combination of the pittu with any curry and a onion n chilli sambal is simply orgasmic. i also learnt to make these accompanying dishes of course. here's some pictorial evidence that i'm not shitting you. have a good week folks and will keep you posted on my other culinary achievements :)
p/s:i think i got the domestic diva part down, next time i should prolly dress the part tho. hehe.
